To better enjoy the most beautiful corners and views of the island of Filicudi a boat trip is highly recommended! It is in fact the only way to reach stunning places and coves such as Grotta del Bue Marino and the “La Canna” rock, which are not accessible on foot . However, there are other beaches on the island that are reachable from the mainland, all characterized by rounded pebbles and located close to equipped bars and grocery shops.
“Le Punte” beach
Located in the southernmost area of the island, “Le Punte” beach can be reached by following a picturesque small path. The beach has a volcanic origin and it is characterized by a crystal-clear sea and offers a wonderful seabed by rapidly sinking after a few steps onto the shore. In August you can find it equipped with sunumbrellas and food service. By continuing on the high path you can reach the place known as “Scogli Piatti” (“flat rocks” in Italian), where naturism is practiced.
Pecorini Mare beach
Pecorini Mare beach is a small beach located near a characteristic village of fishermen. Here as well the seabed rapidly collapse. The access to the beach is free of charge, nevertheless on its right you can find a facility equipped with a shower and a small restaurant. It is often occupied by the fishermen’s colorful boats.
Located in the southern part of the island, Porto beach is narrow, just a few hundred meters long and characterized by dark volcanic pebbles. The beach is not equipped, but in the nearby you will find a private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, bars and grocery stores.
